Rob rides for the Thurrock Hammers
Team building for the forthcoming Challenge match against the Mildenhall Fen Tigers, continues with the announcement of former Hammer Rob Ledwith.
Ledwith, the current skipper of the Kent TouchTec Kings, first rode for the Hammers back in 1985 at the Arena Essex Raceway, riding for the Essex club up to 1994, before taking to the track in build up to the Farewell to the Raceway meeting. He made his comeback to the sport for the Kings in 2019, helping the Kent team lift the National League Trophy this month.
Hammers Director Mark Sexton commented:
“We’re delighted to announce Rob to our select team to take on the Fen Tigers. It’s always great to have a natural link back to the Hammers and having watched his competitive display against us in the Tunnel Trophy, and his recent performance at Mildenhall for Kent, we can’t wait to see Rob in action for us at West Row”.
Rider support packages, which aim to help fund the Thurrock Hammers campaign are available at £40 each – click here for information, or please contact Mark here.
The Hammers take on the Mildenhall Fen Tigers on Sunday June 30th (Gates open at 1:15pm, parade starts at 2:45pm and first race starts at 3:00pm)
